This last year has probably seen the biggest challenges we have ever faced as a business. In 2013 we took the decision to refocus, rebrand and disrupt the communications category with a new type of marketing agency. The result: Southpaw – Home of the brave. We’re now 6 months in and it’s been an exciting journey so far. Here are some highlights from the past few months
Our Marketing Manager, Claire Ashdown, has been exploring our agency rebrand journey with the IPA, in a series of blogs focusing on our transformation from Nexus/H into the rebranded Southpaw agency from various points of view.
We’re extremely pleased to announce that our agency website has been voted website of the day in the CSS Design Awards! We were also shortlisted on The FWA and received an ‘Honourable Mention’ from Awwwards for achieving a high score in their user vote.
It’s not just our website that has been gaining some recognition. Our rebrand design has also been raising heads and gained us a spot on Creative Reviews feed, as well as winning us a spread in The Drum’s Creative Works section, after we notched up over 160 votes in their online poll.
As part of an ongoing recruitment drive to build a genuine challenger agency, we have made a trio of new senior appointments in the last 6 month. Please welcome to the pack; Lee, Sarah and David…
The final piece of the puzzle for 2014 is our building. We have a lovely old warehouse with exposed beams and brick work, but it didn’t feel like a creative agency. Consequently we are going through a redevelopment of the building and driving collaboration through hot desking in order to create as much space as possible and, most importantly, creating an environment for both our talented staff as well as our clients that feels inspirational, motivating and where work feels like fun.
The big reveal will be in the New Year, but until then here is a sneak peak…
