The Glendronach is a single malt Scotch famous for being matured in the rarest Spanish Sherry casks. But it is also a small distillery with very low global brand awareness. Having recently acquired the distillery, Brown Forman wanted to elevate The Glendronach to become a globally recognized, ultra premium brand.
Whisky connoisseurs refer to the Glendronach as the ‘SHERRY BOMB’, with a ‘huge flavour’. We paired this with our key consumer insight that the richest rewards are felt when you experience the bar being raised.
RAISE EXPECTATIONS
As a luxury brand, we wanted to maximise the intensity of the Glendronach experience, so we created a cultural collision between the flair and flamboyance of Spain and the robust spirit of the Highlands, bringing these two worlds together in a way never seen before.
A specialist in ‘cultural collisions’ we commissioned Rankin to shoot the campaign as well as spearhead the PR narrative, boosting our media exposure.
This was a global campaign to support key markets as they transitioned the brand into a contemporary luxury space. This included a full suite of assets, including lifestyle photography, distillery photography, core range photography and talking heads content.
